To achieve high performing teams, healthy conflict is necessary. Sometimes teams suffer due to an inability to speak out when needed and conflict is brushed under the carpet. Other times conflict leads to relationships breaking down. This on-line session will share techniques to help you identify ways to work with conflict in a way that leads to healthy relationships with your council teams.

During the session we will cover the following:

• Consider relevant YLCA policies and guidelines that can support you
• Explain why healthy conflict is key to successful teams
• Identify your own productive and destructive tendencies in conflict
• Consider how your preferences might impact on the rest of your team
• Explore ideas to improve how you respond in conflict

Digital mapping can enhance the effectiveness of service delivery, make local councils more efficient and help them to plan for the future. The session will explain what parish mapping is and how it can benefit a local council, with areas such as storing asset registers, producing neighbourhood plans, identifying land and viewing maps of the area.
