12 hours per month

Starting salary: £9.94 per hour

(NJC Scale 21)

 

Duties include: acting as advisor to the council;

minute taking; compilation of correspondence,

(ability to use e-mail is necessary); filing,

accounts and willingness to undertake

training in all aspects of local authority administration

 

Previous local government experience is desirable

Hebden Royd Town Council – West Yorkshire

VACANCY DUE TO RETIREMENT FOR

CLERK & RESPONSIBLE FINANCIAL OFFICER

37 Hours Per Week.   Salary Scale in accordance with SLCC/NALC Nationally Agreed Scale  LC2  SCP 35 - 38  commencing £28,947 (crt)

The Township of Hebden Royd has approximately 11,000 residents with 7,500 parishioners on the Electoral Roll and some 4,500 dwellings.

The Town Council, which has a complement of 18 Councillors, plays an important role in the local community and facilitates a variety of activities and events from a Precept approaching £200K.

Due to the impending retirement of the current postholder the Council seeks a dynamic and dedicated officer with a flexible approach.  An understanding of the legal and financial affairs of Local Government is highly desirable as is the ability to implement Council Policies and manage Council Projects.

The successful applicant will hold or be willing to work towards obtaining the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA).

16 hours per month

NEWBY & SCALBY PARISH COUNCIL, SCARBOROUGH

25 Hours Per Week.   Salary Scale in accordance with SLCC/NALC Nationally Agreed Scale LC1 SCP 25 £21,519 (Pro Rata).

 

The Parish of Newby & Scalby has around 10,000 residents with 7,500 parishioners on the Electoral Roll and some 4,500 dwellings.   The Scalby area is set to grow over the next 5 to 10 years which will bring many challenges and opportunities.

 

The Parish Council has a complement of 13 Councillors responsible for Children’s Play Area Equipment, a Large Allotment Site, a Playing Field which supports Football, Cricket and other Recreational Purposes, a Village Pond, and a separate Village Green.   The Council plays an important role in the Local Community and facilitates a variety of events and the combined income and expenditure of the Council exceeds £100K.
