Parish Clerk Vacancy
Kexby Parish Council is seeking to appoint a Parish Clerk, who will take responsibility for all administrative aspects of the Council and to act as Responsible Finance Officer. The post is part time, averaging 4½ hours per month, working mainly from home. The hours of work are flexible except for attendance at meetings.
There are 4 Parish Council meetings per year (March, May, September and December) and the Annual Parish Meeting (Held between 1 March and 1 June). There are seven Parish Councillors and the current precept is £1500.
The salary will be based on NJC Salary Scale LC1, Spinal Column point 15 (hourly rate £8.344p) and payable either quarterly or annually to suit. All reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
Duties include general administration including dealing with correspondence, maintaining the accounts and preparing for the annual audit, liaising with the Chairman to set the agenda, minute taking and follow-up action and providing relevant advice to Parish Council.
Access to a computer, printer and Broadband internet connection is essential. Knowledge of Word-processing and manual or computerized accounts is essential. Previous experience in local Government would be helpful but is not essential.
The person appointed will be expected to take up their duties on 1 April, 2012, the outgoing clerk will complete all work in respect of the 2011/12 financial year and will fully update the incoming clerk regarding all matters to be carried forward into 2012/13.

HUNMANBY PARISH COUNCIL
CLERK AND RESPONSIBLE FINANCIAL OFFICER
The council is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed person to fill the post of Parish Clerk and RFO.
Applicants must have a working knowledge of local government procedures and hold or be prepared to work towards the CiLCA qualification. They must be able to demonstrate that they have experience in administration and finance and preferably be familiar with the SAGE accounting system. The successful applicant will be capable of managing two or three other members of staff and liaising with the public in an approachable and confident manner.
This is a part time post of 20 hours spread across the working week with additional evening meetings.
Salary will be in accordance with SCP scales and the scale point will be agreed according to qualifications and experience.

Steeton with Eastburn Parish Council is an active Quality Council that seeks a highly motivated, enthusiastic person to take on the post of Clerk to the Council
17.5 hours per week
Salary between points 23 to 29 on the scale pro rata, based on a 37 hour full time equivalent, dependent upon qualifications and experience.

HORSFORTH TOWN COUNCIL
ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT
Horsforth Town Council seeks a highly motivated person to join its team based in Horsforth.
A key element of the post is to produce newsletters using Desktop Publishing software. Other duties include general office administration and dealing with the public. Very occasional attendance and minute taking at evening meetings will also be required.
The ideal candidate must have experience of using Desktop Publishing and will be familiar with Microsoft Office, Excel and other IT software.
This is a permanent part time post of 15 hours per week, 10am to 1pm Monday to Friday with a starting salary of £8.92 per hour. The Council is a member of the Local Government Pension Scheme.

ECCLESFIELD PARISH COUNCIL VACANCY
PARISH CLERK/RESPONSIBLE FINANCIAL OFFICER
A vacancy has arisen for Clerk to Ecclesfield Parish Council. We are seeking a suitably experienced person with a wide variety of skills. The post would probably suit someone who has previous experience in management within local government. The successful applicant would be expected to attend the relevant training courses should they not already hold suitable qualifications. This is a part-time post of approximately 20-25 hours per week with the benefit of flexible working arrangements (Council, Planning and Finance meetings in the evenings) and a
pro rata salary in accordance with NJC scale 35-42 dependent upon experience and qualifications.
The Clerk will also be the Responsible Financial Officer, therefore financial acumen will be essential, as well as Leadership and Communication skills. The Parish of Ecclesfield has approximately 40,000 residents and its Parish Council has 15 Councillors.
